Sports and Disability in Action Day – May 2025
On Saturday, 10 May 2025, the Place d'Armes in Luxembourg City came alive with movement, energy, and inclusion during the Sports and Disability in Action Day, organised by the City of Luxembourg. From 09:00 to 18:00, people of all ages and abilities gathered to take part in a vibrant program of adaptive sports, awareness activities, and community engagement.
The event showcased how sport can be a powerful tool for connection, empowerment, and visibility. Visitors had the chance to try activities tailored to different abilities, meet athletes, and learn more about accessibility and inclusion in practice. Music, open workshops, and a welcoming atmosphere made it a day of celebration as well as awareness.
In the afternoon, the Accessibility Conference took place at Cercle Cité, bringing together key voices to discuss how European policy can be translated into real, national progress for people with disabilities.
